A marketplace that no country or company can switch off.

OpenFiat is an open protocol for exchanging stablecoins for local currency, peer to peer. Escrow settles on Solana; discovery, reputation and communication run on a network anyone can join. No government can censor it and no company can suspend you — there is no operator to pressure, only participants.

Every P2P exchange today has the same architecture.

The cryptocurrency is decentralized. The marketplace is not. Behind almost every peer-to-peer exchange:

  • A single company owns the servers
  • A single company controls the database
  • A single company decides which advertisements appear
  • A single company resolves disputes
  • A single company stores reputation scores
  • A single company may suspend or remove users
  • A single company decides which countries are supported
  • A single company can be shut down, hacked, or pressured

If the operator fails — technically, financially, legally — the marketplace disappears, even though the blockchain underneath never stopped. OpenFiat eliminates the dependency.

Two layers, each doing what it does best.

The architecture minimizes on-chain cost while preserving decentralized ownership and transparency.

Coordination layer · OpenFiat network

Fast communication between people

Runs on an open peer-to-peer network anyone can join — no company in the middle, no server to seize.

  • Advertisement discovery
  • Trade coordination
  • Reputation
  • Encrypted communication
  • Notifications & search
  • Marketplace indexing

Settlement layer · Solana

What blockchains do exceptionally well

Assets are locked and released by audited smart contracts — never by an operator's goodwill.

  • Secure asset custody
  • Escrow management
  • Staking
  • Treasury management
  • Governance execution

One trade, four moves

Protected from the second move onward — nobody in the middle can take the funds, and nobody has to trust the other side's goodwill.

  1. 01 · NETWORK

    You pick an offer

Offers show the rate, the payment methods accepted, the limits, and how the other side has performed on past trades. Nothing is committed yet.

  2. 02 · ON-CHAIN

    Their crypto goes into escrow

Before any money moves, the seller's stablecoins are locked in an on-chain escrow. The seller cannot take them back and the buyer cannot take them early. This is the step that makes the rest safe.

  3. 03 · FIAT RAIL

You pay the way you normally pay

Bank transfer, mobile money, an instant payment network, or cash. The payment happens on your usual rails, not on a blockchain, and you mark it as sent when it is done.

  4. 04 · ON-CHAIN

    Escrow releases

The seller confirms the money arrived and the escrow releases automatically. If they do not confirm, or something is wrong, either side can open a dispute.

The OPEN community presale

OPEN is the stake behind every role that keeps the marketplace honest — merchants, arbitrators, nodes, oracles. The presale offers the community allocation at a fixed rate before any public sale. The presale is live on devnet; connecting a wallet lets you contribute today.
